Seminary Students in Class

SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary features four graduate level degree programs serving both religious and lay people. Our program guides students in a process of growth through cognitive studies, skill courses and experiences, self-assessment measures, counseling, and community life that leads to self-understanding and spiritual maturity. Such preparation should also develop an attitude that learning and growth are a lifelong process.

Effectiveness

SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary is engaged in an ongoing review of the effectiveness of its programs.  This process includes student and faculty evaluation, outcomes assessment and surveys of administrative personnel in dioceses where graduates serve.

Of those who entered as seminarians from 2006–2008, 60% completed the M.Div. degree.   All (100%) who completed the M.Div. degree were ordained to the presbyterate and are active in ministry.  In the past three years, (2010–2012) students completed the M.Div. degree with an average GPA of 3.38.  91% are active in priestly ministry.

The MA programs are open to men and women who wish to serve the Lord and His Church in various ministries.  64% of lay students admitted to the MA or MAPM programs for 2005-2012 are continuing studies or have graduated. For the years 2008–2012, 100% of all lay graduates are employed in ministry.
